Overview
FGE’s Light Insight weekly report dissects and examines the volatile short-term market for condensate and naphtha, to deliver clear, concise, and insightful views on market happenings.
International condensate and naphtha trade have been and will continue to undergo much flux with the transformation of the refining and petrochemical landscape. In the East, demand for these feedstocks have been primarily driven by downstream petrochemical demand. Integration of refining capacity with petrochemicals on top of capacity additions on olefins and aromatics will shape and influence balances of naphtha and condensate in the coming years.
Looking upstream, the series of LNG and gas projects through the 2020s and beyond will bring about incremental supplies of condensate and naphtha through the years. Along with a new, more mature phase of growth to come for US shale production in the next few years, how will balances shift in the months and years to come?
FGE’s Light Insight contains weekly analyses of the changing landscapes of both the condensate and naphtha markets. Each report focuses on one or two key issues of the trading market that week, and a term feature which details developments that will shift balances in the long term. We will address generally what may happen and provide clients with our interpretation of the key issues taking place at the time.
