Overview

FGE’s Europe Gas Monthly Report provides clients with insights into recent market developments across the European markets.

The liquidity in the European gas markets ideally positions them to act as a sink for excess LNG volumes which would otherwise be routed to Asia. This monthly service establishes how Europe’s current position is likely to impact future gas imports and spot price volatility. It is forward looking with an aim to deliver decision-useful information to clients not just operating within Europe, but also market participants who are affected by European demand for LNG. Our analysis enables clients to adjust their business model to account for the impact of Europe's position on global trade flows and prices.

In addition to a short-term forensic analysis of supply, demand and pricing issues, the report also delves into key market developments. These include short-term events such as inclement weather, which can lead to Asia-bound cargoes being re-routed to Europe, and longer-term developments such as the deployment of new regasification facilities in Europe.
